Want some extra goodies this Christmas season? No matter how many 40k miniatures you get as xmas presents, you have to admit, it won’t be enough! Take the chance of winning an extra bit of GW goodies this year by entering this easy competition to win 50$(USD) worth of 40k miniatures and accessories, or whatever else you want.

Warhammer40,000logo

How will it work?

In the coming 10 days, I will be posting a scrambled word/phrase, posting 2 or 3 letters at a time. The only way you can view these letters is by subscribing to the 40kminiatures RSS feed. Be the first to guess what it is and you get yourself 50USD voucher from the Games-Workshop online store or from the MiniWargaming online store. The choice is yours (Both sell warhammer 40k miniatures and stuff)

Directions Summary – Winning the 50USD

  1. Subscribe to the 40kminiatures RSS feed. You can also subscribe by email.
  2. Check out the letters posted daily starting from the 15th of November. The letters will be visible at the end of the normal posts ONLY on RSS – 2 or 3 letters will be added every day to your footer – so keep your eyes peeled!
  3. Be the first to guess the correct word/phrase. Place your guessby commenting on this post.
  4. Win the 50USD gift certificate from the Games-Workshop online store or from the MiniWargaming online store.

The Rules

  1. The letters will be placed in posts visible only through your RSS feed subscription.
  2. The letters will be posted at the end of normal posts, and will be only visible in the RSS feed. Make sure you check your feed reader often!
  3. You can attempt to guess the word/phrase at any point from the 15th of November onwards.
  4. You can only, however, take 1 guess per person (by i.p. address)
  5. The winner will be announced on Wednesday the 25th of November 2009

Remember – Place your guess by commenting on this post!

I will be putting hints in random posts throughout the competition’s duration, so make sure you read the normal posts as well!

Note about currencies: Games workshop has online stores for many Europaean coutnries, North America, Japan and Australia. The Miniwargaming store is Canadian.  Don’t worry! I will convert the 50US Dollars into the currency of your choice with the exchange rates current to your win. You will thus be able to order from the closest online store (faster shipping for you) and still get your 50 USD worth of 40k miniature goodies!

Ah well :) I’ll keep trying even though I can’t win anymore… I was working under the assumption that the 2 words are related/used together. Can you confirm or deny that ?

The two words form a single phrase, so yes they are related! You could also say that the first word of the phrase, while a single word, could be said to be composed of two separate words(hint hint).

I have a questions. Do all the letters from the RSS feed reader need to be used to complete the unit/model correctly?

Yes, you need all the letters to compose the secret phrase. I just updated the rss some hours ago with the penultimate batch of letters. Tomorrow the last 3 letters will be out. Since there are 22 letters in all, you might be able to work it out with the 19 available!

Sorry about that! :/ Though there are actually 23 letters in all. It’s quite easy to be mistaken, and I apologize for that!
Keep an eye out for the next contest in the near future – I’ll be sure to avoid miscounting! Sorry again!
